Step One - Web Design Consultation

In order for us to provide you with a detailed quote, we like to spend a bit of time with you, either in person or over the phone, to get as much information about you and your business as we can. This initial consultation is free of charge, and helps us to get a good feel or idea of the basic look and feel of your site, the goals you have planned for it, and the budget you've expected to spend.

A Detailed Request for Proposal/Quote

The next step is for us to provide an estimate or quote. For an accurate, firm fixed price, we need detailed information. Larger companies usually provide their vendors with Request for Proposal or Quote (RFP, RFQ or also called a Solicitation) which gives the details we need. Most small businesses usually don't have this kind of document prepared in advance. We have a form to help you through this often difficult and intimidating task. This is our Quote Request Form, which we will send to you by email. If you have trouble filling it in, just give us a call. We understand and realize that there is more work to putting a website together than you might have thought. Projects which are complex or not yet clearly defined may need our help in thinking through the requirements and how they fit in your budget. We're experienced at this, and can help you put a detailed RFQ together. The content you gather today, will weigh in some significant importance when your website is complete.

Bid/Estimate Submission

Once we have all this information in writing, we can provide an accurate, detailed estimate/proposal based on it. Most of the time there is no charge for quotes or estimates. However, if we created a pre-bid/solicitation requirements document for you, we may charge our standard, hourly rates. This document can then be used to gather other bids, or, should you decide to use our services, we will deduct a portion of the price from the web site design quote.

Average Prices

In our many years of designing and developing web sites, there has never been two that were quoted the same price. Too many factors are involved in each project, too many different specifications.

However, we also understand that most of our customers want to get a basic idea or a ballpark number before they pick up the phone to hire us. The following numbers are approximate only, and will not accurately reflect your project requirements. Only after our initial discussions can we give you an accurate ballpark.

Remember, your budget really defines how many features and pages your website can have. We can do amazing things with even the smallest of budgets!

Getting Started

Once you approve the written estimate, we will begin work on your site. Maverick requires a 1/3 to 1/2 (depending on size and scope of project) of the quote as a retainer before work can begin on the site. Progress payment #2, plus any out of scope work, will be due upon approval of the site layout and graphic design. The final 1/3 will be due on completion of the site. After the final payment has been made, we will upload the final files to your server.

Payments

Payments can be made by check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover.

On-going Maintenance

Maverick has several maintenance plans/packages for maintaining your new site. If you do not have a content management system, and are in need of someone to make periodic updates, Maverick can make these changes for you. Remember that it is very important that you make regular updates to your site. Hiring Maverick to perform these tasks makes this job easier!
